Authorities in Florida are searching for a man dressed as Santa Claus after they say he fled from troopers after being accused of speeding on a motorcycle over the weekend.
Troopers began pursuing the suspect around 9 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 21, after they alleged he was traveling at 120 mph in Beverly Hills, Fla., which is located about 80 miles north of Tampa, the Florida Highway Patrol said in a statement obtained by the Miami Herald, WTSP and ABC Action News.
In a video shared on X, formerly Twitter, the suspect can be seen allegedly fleeing from authorities by cutting through a gas station before continuing down a road.
“The sleigh must be in the shop, but last night Mr. Claus didn’t pause for any cause,” the FHP said in the post. “Anyone that recognizes ol’ St. Nick please feel free to call *FHP (*347) and let us know.”
