Aaron Rodgers hopes he has wisely picked his new girlfriend, Brittany, after bashing his ex-girlfriends in his latest Netflix docuseries, ‘Enigma’.
The four-time NFL MVP and New York Jets star, 41, shared the good news this holiday season after enduring a brutal first whole campaign following his 2023 season-ending Achilles tear. Rodgers has often kept his private life behind closed doors, but it was hard to keep it out of the public eye in a few of his high-profile relationships, such as his engagement to actress Shailene Woodley.
In his new Netflix docuseries, ‘Enigma’, Rodgers admitted he “didn’t do himself any favors” with some of his ex-girlfriends, a brutal dismissal of his past relationships. However, this Christmas and New Year’s, the future NFL Hall of Famer hopes for a more positive outcome after going public with his girlfriend, Brittany.
Rodgers slyly revealed he’s back in the dating world during an appearance on ‘The Pat McAfee Show’ alongside his former Green Bay Packers teammate A.J. Hawk. “There was one package left for my girlfriend Brittany that hadnt showed up yet,” he said. “I was waiting on this to show up. It showed up today.”
Rodgers was pressed on whether his new girlfriend is pop icon Britney Spears. However, the quarterback denied that claim and revealed that his other half has not watched his Netflix series, in which he talked about his previous relationships.
“Its a good feeling, boys,” Rodgers added. He didn’t go any further, and it’s likely to stay that way, with the NFL star hating the spotlight on his dating life.
In ‘Enigma’, Rodgers admitted he hated the fame after becoming the Packers’ franchise quarterback, winning a Super Bowl, Super Bowl MVP, and four league MVPs. “I enjoyed my private life,” he said. “I enjoyed being able to go places. But from Super Bowl MVP, MVP, State Farm commercials, that got a little bit more difficult.”
He added: “I always find it interesting when people say, in reference to the off-the-field attention, Well, this is what you signed up for.’ I say ‘—- that!’ I never signed up for that.
“I signed up for football because I love the game and I got great at it because Im hyper-competitive and super-motivated. But theres this whole other part that comes with it thats a lot of great stuff and a lot of ——- weird stuff!”
Rodgers’ future in New Jersey is uncertain, with the Jets facing a potential offensive crisis. The franchise is 4-11 with two NFL games left, and they will spend another season without playoff football. Rodgers could be moved on, and star wide receiver Garrett Wilson appears to be far from pleased with life in the Big Apple, too.
