A Gray Monkey’s Struggle to Free its Limb from the Clutches of a Crocodile.

October 6, 2023 by admin Leave a Comment

A very rare sight when hunting in Yala National Park, Sri Lanka. Gray langur was drinking water in the afternoon when the crocodile king grabbed his arm in the jaw. The baby monkey was in pain but desperately could do nothing.

For more than an hour, the struggle followed as the monkey fought for his life. Then the monkey managed to remove its arm from the killer’s jaw. But given the struggle, it’s not surprising if the monkey broke his arm, which can be deadly in the wild. The monkey was then drowned by the crocodile.

The end may not have any hope for the monkey, but more or less we also hope for some miracle that can save this little creature from a cruel death. This is nature in its crudest form. A struggle for survival and of life and death.
