The humans came across her wandering the streets.
Her human companion recounted how Monster unexpectedly appeared from a bush as they were strolling back home one evening after having dinner.
Her hair was completely tangled, she looked very frail, and clearly in need of food.
Since she had a dark coat and it was nighttime, we didn’t notice her teeth until she lifted her head and emitted a strange howl/meow.
I let out a startled noise as soon as I laid eyes on her, blurting out, “What’s wrong?”
We made the decision to not abandon her because she appeared to be in a vulnerable state, so we guided her back to our place.
“When we brought Monster to the veterinarian, they couldn’t help but chuckle at her unique appearance. I couldn’t resist but enquire about whether they believed she was naturally born that way or if something had caused her unconventional looks.”
The veterinarian told me that it appeared that my cat’s jaw structure was a congenital condition, which is quite common in Persian cats.
Now, the owner is leveraging Monster’s fame to also assist in finding forever homes for other shelter animals.
