Shedeur Sanders has claimed he already knows which NFL franchise he’ll land at in next April’s 2025 draft.
The New York Giants are expected to select the Colorado quarterback with the first overall pick. The Giants are 2-13 in 2024, and they have just two more games remaining before the season ends. They will play the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday before finishing up their campaign the following week on the road at the Philadelphia Eagles.
The New England Patriots, Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans, Cleveland Browns, and the Las Vegas Raiders are all 3-12, placing them high in next year’s picking process too. However, only the Titans and Raiders would be dead sure to draft a quarterback if they land a top-three spot.
Buffaloes stars\ Sanders and the Miami Hurricanes’ Cam Ward are widely considered the top two prospects in that position heading into the 2025 NFL Draft. Both are expected to enter the top five, alongside 2024 Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter.

However, outside of Sanders and Ward, the 2025 quarterback class is considered weaker than in previous years. Nonetheless, Sanders is confident he’ll be drafted first, placing him in the Big Apple at the Giants, who cut Daniel Jones a few weeks ago.
“We know where we are going, baby,” Sanders told his older brother, Shilo, a Buffaloes player. “A team might trade up” Shilo suggested. “You cannot go higher than number one,” Sanders replied.
Sanders’ dad, NFL Hall of Famer and Buffaloes head coach, Deion Sanders, has previously stated he’ll have a say on which franchise his son ends up at. He has long expressed his desire to make sure Shedeur and two-way superstar Hunter end up landing on the right teams for their NFL careers.
Sanders doesn’t believe the Giants would be bad for his son. The Buffs HC stated his son would be going first overall next year and also declared that the Giants would not trade away the first pick, considering their current situation following the Jones fallout.
“Giants are not gonna give up their pick. They’re not gonna give up their pick. Shedeur’s gonna be the number one pick,” he told The Pacman Jones Show. Shedeur hinted at a preference a few weeks ago when he posted the Raiders’ Allegiant Stadium. Raiders fans were spotted holding signs telling their team to tank the remainder of the season to draft Sanders.
However, following last weekend’s win over the Jaguars, the 3-12 Raiders have slipped down the Draft order and have another favorable matchup this week against the struggling New Orleans Saints.
