With the New York Jets’ disastrous season now behind him, defensive end Solomon Thomas has taken a well-deserved break—escaping to St. Barts for a romantic getaway with his girlfriend, Kaylie Alyson.
Thomas, who played in 16 games last season (including one start), was part of a tumultuous year for the Jets, as the team finished with a disappointing 5-12 record.
The franchise’s struggles led to major changes, including the midseason firings of head coach Robert Saleh and GM Joe Douglas. But while uncertainty looms over his NFL future, Thomas appeared completely carefree over the weekend as he soaked up the sun in the Caribbean with Alyson.
Relaxing and Recharging in Paradise
The couple was spotted enjoying time on a boat, with one photo capturing Thomas smiling as he lounged with one leg dipped into the water. The 6-foot-3, 295-pound lineman went shirtless, showing off his athletic build, while Alyson stunned in a multi-colored bikini.
In another snapshot, the lovebirds shared a kiss, embracing while taking in the breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea. Clearly, Thomas has put the turbulent NFL season behind him, making the most of his offseason before free agency decisions come into play.

A Supportive Relationship
Alyson, who describes herself as a Purdue University alum on Instagram, has been a constant supporter of Thomas throughout his NFL career. She frequently shares photos cheering him on, including a pinned post from October ahead of the Jets’ matchup against the Vikings. She was also seen at MetLife Stadium for New York’s Halloween victory over the Houston Texans.
Their relationship has been a source of strength for Thomas, who took to Instagram to reflect on his challenging but rewarding eighth NFL season.
“8 years down! Probably one of the most adverse years, but my favorite so far,” Thomas wrote in a heartfelt Sunday post.
“A lot of growth and adapting but never letting go of the fun. Grateful for every moment with the love of my life. Can’t wait for the next—the best is yet to come.”
What’s Next for Solomon Thomas?
Thomas, a former third-overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, spent his first four seasons with the San Francisco 49ers, followed by a one-year stint with the Las Vegas Raiders in 2021. He then signed three consecutive one-year deals with the Jets, totaling over $7.5 million in earnings.
Now, as free agency looms once again, the veteran defensive lineman will have to decide whether to return to New York or seek a fresh start elsewhere. Last season, he recorded 3.5 sacks and five tackles for loss, proving he still has plenty to offer on the defensive side of the ball.
For now, though, Thomas is taking full advantage of the offseason—relaxing, recharging, and spending quality time with Alyson before diving back into the business of football.
