Snoop Dogg revealed that he wasn’t asked to partake in Netflix’s “The Roast of Tom Brady,” – though the rap icon is hardly losing sleep over not receiving an invitation.
Back in May, Brady was the target of comedians, celebrities and NFL players who all took turns roasting him in Netflix’s most-watched comedy special of the first six months of 2024. Almost no topics were off the table, as the ex-quarterback’s personal life, league cheating scandals and former teammates all came under fire.
Though the star-studded cast featured A-list celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Will Ferrell, Rob Gronkowski, Kevin Hart and more, one big name was notably not in attendance. During a recent appearance on the ‘Let’s Go’ podcast, Snoop jokingly confronted Brady about not being invited to his Roast.

Rather than slamming Brady for not offering him a spot on the comedy special, however, Snoop thanked the 47-year-old for leaving him off the guest list. “Tom, thank you for not having me come to your roast because I didn’t want to be a part of that —-,” he said – prompting a round of laughter from those on the call.
“Thank you for leaving me out, man. No, some real —-. Normally I’d have been mad, like, how the — you leave me out? But I was like, naw, thanks, Tom. Appreciate that.”
Ex-New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick conceded that while Brady’s event was not meant to actually hurt anybody’s feelings, several of the playful jabs might have hit a nerve. “Water got a little rough there, Snoop, I’ll tell ya,” he said.

Snoop promptly chimed in: “That’s why I say thank you! Thank you for leaving me out of that —-. I was on the sideline watching like, ‘Hey, man, I’m your real friend, me over here, see?’”
Though the jibes and event itself were all in good fun, not everyone got a kick out of it. Gisele Bundchen, Brady’s ex-wife, reportedly felt hurt by the roast after she and her family were repeatedly the butt of other people’s jokes. Aaron Hernandez was additionally brought up on more than one occasion by attendees, deeply offending the late tight end’s ex-fiancee, Shayann Jenkins.
Several days after the roast, Brady admitted that he felt regret over the way in which the event transpired – specifically pointing out the negative impact it had on his three children.
“I loved when the jokes were about me,” Brady on “The Pivot” podcast. “I thought they were so fun. I didn’t like the way it affected my kids.
“So it’s the hardest part; the bittersweet aspect of when you do something that you think is one way and all of a sudden you realize ‘I wouldn’t do that again’ because of the way it affected, actually, the people I care about the most in the world.”
